photographe r\u00eave de prendre des clich\u00e9s pour la National Geographic Society.<\/p>\n<p>La mission de l\u2019organisation est d\u2019amener le grand public \u00e0 s\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 notre plan\u00e8te. Durant ses 126\u00a0ans d\u2019activit\u00e9s, elle a favoris\u00e9 la pr\u00e9servation des ressources naturelles et a sensibilis\u00e9 le public \u00e0 l\u2019importance des milieux naturels, des plantes et de la faune qui les habitent, ainsi qu\u2019aux probl\u00e8mes environnementaux qui les menacent. J\u2019ai r\u00e9pondu par l\u2019affirmative \u00e0 toute vitesse, comme si mon appareil \u00e9tait r\u00e9gl\u00e9 \u00e0 la vitesse d\u2019obturation la plus rapide.<\/p>\n<p>La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a tenu, \u00e0 travers le monde, une s\u00e9rie d\u2019ateliers et de groupes de discussion sur la probl\u00e9matique de l\u2019avenir \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Le grand d\u00e9fi de l\u2019\u00e9nergie\u00a0\u00bb. Au cours de ces discussions, la ville de Vancouver est devenue le c\u0153ur du d\u00e9bat sur le gaz naturel et son r\u00f4le pour l\u2019avenir \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique mondial. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, qui s\u2019est tenu juste avant la conf\u00e9rence sur l&#8217;environnement Globe\u00a02014, a r\u00e9uni de nombreux chefs de file de l\u2019industrie et de l\u2019environnement, ainsi que des universitaires et d\u2019autres parties prenantes afin de discuter de l\u2019avenir du gaz naturel et de ses incidences sur l\u2019environnement, l\u2019\u00e9conomie et sur notre mode de vie.<\/p>\n<p>Les organisateurs du <i>National Geographic<\/i> m\u2019ont demand\u00e9 de participer \u00e0 la discussion et de prendre des photographies afin de les publier dans son blogue, ainsi que dans diff\u00e9rents rapports et d\u2019autres documents de communications. Ce n\u2019est peut-\u00eatre pas ce \u00e0 quoi la plupart des gens pensent quand ils m\u2019imaginent en train de prendre des photos. Puis, m\u00eame si ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas une s\u00e9ance pour le magazine, o\u00f9 il faut attendre pendant des mois la lumi\u00e8re parfaite et les ours polaires en Arctique, ce fut ma premi\u00e8re affectation pour le <i>National Geographic<\/i>. Le r\u00e9sultat est d\u00e9j\u00e0 en ligne et les cr\u00e9dits photographiques me sont attribu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Je me suis senti extr\u00eamement fortun\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre au c\u0153ur de cette importante discussion sur l\u2019\u00e9nergie.
