HELP PORTRAIT 2017

It’s that time of year again to start getting organized for this year’sCAPIC HELP PORTRAITevent. Given the success of last year’s event at Artscape in the Daniels Spectrum in Regent Park, organizers are looking forward to another successful event this year. This year the global day for HELP PORTRAIT isSaturday, December 2nd, and we will be partnering with the519 Community Centre on Church Streetin downtown Toronto in the heart of the Village. From refugee settlement to counselling, The 519 serves the people of Toronto by supporting happy, fulfilling LGBTQ lives. Here is a link to their website; http://www.the519.org

CAPIC VANCOUVER – PEER REVIEW EVENT REPORT

On October 2nd the CAPIC Vancouver Chapter held our first Peer Portfolio Review event, and it was quite a success! Our group leaders Adam Blasberg, Kris Grunert, Noel Hendrickson, Chris Morris and Pooya Nabei led some engaging and thoughtful group discussion about our participants’ work, and a good time and some valuable networking was had by all.  

This was a great opportunity to help our members and other attendees prepare for our “speed dating” style Portfolio Review event with Art Directors and Art Buyers, coming this winter.
