Last month, the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators (CAPIC) mounted their annual Double Vision exhibition and competition at The Papermill Gallery at Todmorden Mills, in Toronto.

The show featured works by image creators who had been paired at random and tasked with creating portraits of one another, all the while using their respective mediums. The participating artists took on this challenge with great enthusiasm and creativity. The result was a dynamic exhibition featuring a wide rage of collaborative images, all pushing the boundaries of the project.

CAPIC is delighted to present the final winners of Double Vision 2017! The pairs were voted on by a panel of jurors made up of art industry professionals and announced on the opening night of the exhibition.

First place went to illustrator Simon Dupuis and photographer Allison Cordner from Montreal. Second place was awarded to photographer John Currid and illustrator Joe Borges. Photographer Linda Marie Stella and Illustrator Sue Upton claimed juried third place and also took home the popular vote award, as selected by guests who attended the opening night event.
